Between employing a broker to completely handle, or selling totally on your own, there is a middle ground. You can manage many of the selling functions as a FSBO yet still utilize proven marketing and management by purchasing select packages or individual services from a broker. In the last several years there has been an explosion of entries into this niche. The common theme is they will buy your home without you having to sell in the traditional way. In exchange for this convenience expect to net less...often a lot less.

You have probably seen these when driving: some version of "We Buy Your House" nailed onto power poles or by the side of he road. The owner of a home I eventually listed almost went that route. He changed his mind when on the day to sign, the written contract was $10,000 less than verbally agreed to with no justifiable explanation. I'm not saying all of these individuals or companies will attempt that sort of bait-and-switch. Just tread carefully.
